Last updated: 16 October 2026
BookingElf is designed and managed by Urban One (UEN 53138024J), Singapore. BookingElf is committed to providing quality services to you, and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information on the bookingelf.app website.
We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information. A copy of the Australian Privacy Principles may be obtained from the website of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au. We also handle Personal Information in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. The Personal Information we collect includes:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (if given)
- Venue name, company name (if given), city and website (if given)
- Your answers to the form questions, such as how you take bookings now or what services you need
- Marketing communication preference (if you choose to opt in)
This Personal Information is obtained through the forms on our website and when you email us.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of replying to your enquiry, setting up BookingElf for your venue and providing our services to you. We may also use your Personal Information to send product updates, only where you have opted in to receive them. Every update includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by contacting us in writing. This follows the Australian Spam Act 2003 and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.
Third parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties (for example, if someone sends an enquiry on your venue's behalf). In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Your Personal Information will not be disclosed to a third party, unless required by law. Our web host and email provider process your form details only to deliver them to us. We do not sell your Personal Information.
Website analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, such as which pages are viewed, how people arrive and which links they click. Clarity also records how pages are scrolled and clicked, so we can see where the site is hard to use. We set Clarity to mask the text you type, so it does not capture what you enter in our forms.
Google Analytics and Clarity use cookies and similar technologies. Ahrefs Web Analytics does not use cookies. Each provider processes this data under its own privacy policy: Google, Microsoft and Ahrefs. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.
We also use Google Search Console to see how this website appears in Google search results. It does not collect information from your visit. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
Our enquiry forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is sending them. Cloudflare receives your IP address and information about your browser for this check, under its own privacy policy.
Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information.
Access to your Personal Information
You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.
BookingElf will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.
In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
Maintaining the quality of your Personal Information
It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up to date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
Guests who book at a venue
If you booked a table at a venue that uses BookingElf, the venue's own privacy policy applies to your booking. You can find it on the venue's booking page.
Policy updates
This policy may change from time to time and is available on our website.
